Get MailTemp on your phone or browser

MailTemp lives on the web at mailtemp.uk, but you don't have to open a browser tab every time you need a temporary email address. There are two faster ways to use it: an Android app for your phone, and a Chrome extension for your desktop.

MailTemp for Android

The Android app gives you the full MailTemp service in your pocket. Open it and you have an inbox. No sign-up, no real email required.

What it does that a mobile browser tab can't:

  • Push notifications when mail lands in any of your temporary inboxes, so you don't have to keep refreshing.
  • Background checking, which means you can put your phone down while you wait for a verification code.
  • Multiple inboxes at once, useful when you're signing up for different things in parallel.
  • Offline reading for messages you've already received.
  • One-tap copy on any address.

The interface uses Material 3 with light and dark themes, following your system setting by default. The app is currently translated into English, Turkish, Russian, Spanish, and German.

MailTemp Chrome Extension

If you spend most of your sign-up time at a desktop, the Chrome extension is the quickest way to use MailTemp. It puts a temporary email address one click away from any tab, and the latest version (v2.5.3) adds smart field detection and a few other things worth knowing about:

  • Automatic email field detection. The extension finds email inputs on the page and can fill them with your active address, or generate a new one if there isn't one yet.
  • Right-click to insert. If auto-detection misses a field — custom forms sometimes do this — right-click the input and pick your address from the context menu.
  • Faster notifications. Verification codes show up the moment they arrive in your temporary inbox.
  • Customizable settings. Field detection, notifications, and other behaviors can each be turned on or off.
  • Responsive popup. Works on small screens and zoomed-in browsers, with a built-in zoom control for accessibility.
  • Multilingual. Available in English, Turkish, Russian, and Spanish.

The extension is free and installation takes a few seconds.

Add MailTemp to Chrome

How it all works

  1. Install the app from Google Play, or add the extension to Chrome (or both).
  2. Open it and you have a temporary email address ready to use.
  3. Use that address anywhere a real one is asked for and you'd rather not give yours.
  4. Mail arrives directly in the app or extension, with a notification when something new comes in.

Privacy

Same as on the website. No registration, no personal data collected, nothing shared with third parties. Both the app and the extension are built around the same idea: a service that doesn't need to know who you are.
